Ingredients

We believe you should know what you put on your skin. This page explains how to read an ingredient label and what some common skincare ingredients are. The ingredients of each product are shown on its product page.

How to read an ingredient label

  • The list is called INCI. It is the standard international naming system for cosmetic ingredients, so the same ingredient has the same name on every brand.
  • Order matters. Ingredients are listed from the highest amount to the lowest, down to 1%. Below 1%, they can appear in any order.
  • Names can look unfamiliar. Many appear as Latin plant names or chemical names. Water usually appears as "Aqua".
  • Fragrance and allergens. If a product contains certain fragrance allergens, they must be named in the list. If you know you react to something, check the label before buying.
  • A patch test helps. Even gentle ingredients do not suit everyone. Try a small amount on a small area first.

A short glossary of ingredients in our range

This is general information to help you read labels. Results vary from person to person.

NAD

A molecule found naturally in the body's cells. In cosmetics, it is used in products designed to be part of a daily skincare routine.

Collagen extract

Collagen is a protein that is part of skin's structure. Applied in a cosmetic, collagen extracts mainly sit on the surface and are used to help skin feel soft and comfortable.

Humectants (for example glycerin and hyaluronic acid)

Ingredients that attract and hold water. They help skin feel more hydrated and comfortable.

Our promise

  • We show the ingredients and bottle size of each product on its product page.
  • We do not use words like miracle, cure or treatment.
  • We do not promise results. Cosmetics help the look and feel of skin, and every skin is different.

If you have allergies, a skin condition, or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please check the ingredients and speak to a healthcare professional before using a new product.
